I’ve been a hairstylist for 25 years.

For most of those years, I had a problem I couldn’t solve. Clients would sit in my chair with dry hair, fading colour, itchy flaky scalps doing everything right but not seeing results. What I kept noticing was how much things changed after a house move. Blondes who suddenly couldn’t hold their colour. Others who’d struggled for years and then moved somewhere new and things improved. 

I filed it away but never fully joined the dots. Then it happened to me.

Then we moved rural and it cleared up completely. But my blonde hair started going dull. Then we went on a holiday to Canada and within days the itch was back. It was the chlorine. I was sure of it.
